About Simmons & Harris

Simmons and Harris, Inc. was established in 1921 as a real estate and property management firm and has remained in business continuously since then. The property management division currently manages over forty million dollars of income producing properties, roughly two thousand residential and commercial units, representing over two hundred and fifty investors.

Twenty-one full-time employees of the company, including two Resident Managers and ten maintenance workers, provide a full range of property management, leasing, and maintenance services for the clients of Simmons & Harris.

Key Management Josh W. Munden, III, 49, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Munden is a licensed real estate broker and Realtor. He has been with the firm since 1974 and assumes overall responsibility for the property management division and leasing division.
William C. Alston, 47, serves a Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. He is a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. Mr. Alston is a licensed real estate broker and Realtor. He has earned the Certified Property Manager designation by the Institute of Real Estate Management. Having been with the firm since 1977, Mr. Alston assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the property management division and the maintenance division, Metro Maintenance.
Georgia P. Wilson, 46, serves as Asst. Vice - President of Finance and Administration. Mrs. Wilson supervises the accounts payable department. She oversees the daily accounting functions of the company and shares responsibility for the maintenance and reconciliation of the company’s various bank accounts including all trust and escrow accounts. She has been employed by Simmons & Harris since 1982.
David K. Hodges, 47, has as his primary responsibility the brokerage of commercial and income producing real estate. Mr. Hodges is a graduate of East Carolina University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a real estate concentration. He has extensive experience in appraisal and mortgage lending from thirteen years employment in banking. He is a licensed real estate broker and Realtor. Mr. Hodges has served as President of the Rocky Mount Building Industry Association in 1999 and President of the Rocky Mount Area Association of Realtors in 1999 and 2000. He joined Simmons & Harris in 1995.
